Ready, Teddy, Go!
Residents at ERoSH Cymru member, Clwyd Alyn Housing Association's estate, Llys Erw in Ruthin, Denbighshire, will be clicking at the rate of knots throughout October as they take on a charity teddy bear challenge to raise money for the BBC Children in Need Appeal.
A team of five super speedy knitters are all set with a mountain of wool ready for their sponsored event to try and knit as many teddy bears as possible over a period of 35 days.
They hope to reach their target total of 200 teddies in the time set and there is a double benefit to their challenge because as well as raising sponsorship money for the BBC appeal, the finished teddy bears will then be distributed by the local RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteers Programme) for Operation Christmas Child gift boxes and the emergency services.
