Residents join the Mum's Mile

Residents from Pentre Mawr in Abergele, a scheme managed by ERoSH member, Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, were among those taking part in the Mums' Mile sponsored walk along Rhyl Promenade in late March to raise money for St Kentigern's Hospice.

Alison Pring, the scheme's warden said, 'Some of the residents and me raised more than £150 on the walk. It was great fun and we were presented with certificates and a goody-bag including foot care lotions, for taking part.

'On a more serious note, we were particularly motivated to join the Mums' Mile by two of our residents, Mr and Mrs Emlyn and Dee Williams whose daughter, Micky died two years ago from cancer. The support and care of everyone at St Kentigern's has been absolutely excellent. Mrs Williams wore a t-shirt picturing her daughter for the walk, as a way of saying ‘thank you' to St Kentigern's for all their help. The support is on-going and donations would be gratefully received.'
