How to Complain
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has written a complaints guide to help older people get help from different services.
It is one of the four key CLG funded documents launched in January.
Part of the confusion evidenced by Help the Aged report, Nobody's Listening, was how older people could take their complaints further, when their landlord had responded but they were still dissatisfied.
Tenants have the choice of going to the Ombudsman services (the Housing Ombudsman and the Local Government Ombudsman), as well as the new regulator for social housing, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA), and the tenants' body, the National Tenant Voice (NTV).
