It’s flippin’ brilliant at Llys Erw!

Residents and friends at a housing scheme for the over 55s in Ruthin invited local people to join them for a grand pancake race on Shrove Tuesday.

Llys Erw, a sheltered housing scheme managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, part of the Pennaf Housing Group, held a pancake race outside the homes and invited other local people over 55 to join the fun.

Entrants were paired up, with one person in a wheelchair flipping their pancake while the other team member pushed. Other categories were held for electric buggies and motor mobility scooters.

Anna Newman, warden at Llys Erw said: "All donations we received on the day, will be split between The British Heart Foundation and Llys Erw Residents' Comfort Fund."

Penalty points were given to entrants not managing to toss their pancake 20 times during the race.
