‘Johnnie’ Johnson Housing takes older residents surfing

ERoSH member ‘Johnnie' Johnson Housing was taking part in Silver Surfers' Day by helping older people get online.

The housing association based in Manchester held events at Will Griffins Court, Le Bas and Johnson House.

Staff at ‘Johnnie' Johnson were keen to promote inter-generational learning and invited five young people to join 16 residents at Will Griffiths Court to take pictures and load them on to laptops. Another eight residents at Le Bas were joined by young people for some computer training. This was held in partnership with City South Manchester, an ALMO which has a sheltered scheme nearby.

Other events took place at ‘Johnnie' Johnson Housing schemes in Sheffield, Rotherham, Didsbury, and Liverpool.
