Special offer for personalisation event

There are still places available if you are interested in attending an event promoting personalisation for older people.

The event, Putting Everyone First -"Making personalisation work for older people and people that have mental health problems", is being supported by the National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi), the National Mental Health Development Unit, Department of Health and the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).

There are still places for the event on June 10 at Holiday Inn, London Bloomsbury.

Guest speakers include David Behan, director general of social care,
local government and care partnerships at the department of health, Helen Bowers, director of the older people and ageing programme at the NDTi, and Anita Cameron, an associate of the NDTi.

This one-day event is focused on sharing practical lessons and exploring common barriers to developing personalised services and support for older people and people with mental health problems. It will show how health and local authorities can bring together the strategic and practical aspects of commissioning to deliver the Government's agenda on personalisation - but more importantly how personalisation helps to change people's lives.

Key themes include:
• Recent and new guidance on personalisation in older people and mental health fields
• How commissioning can help deliver the personalisation agenda
• What co-production means and how to make it happen
• How support planning and person-centred approaches are key to making personal budgets real.

If you buy two fee-paying places and you will receive a free place for mental health service user / carer or older person.

There is more information, including the programme, available or you can book your place.
