Get Digital campaign takes to website to reach members

ERoSH members are being encouraged to apply for funding to help older people to get online.

The Government-backed ‘Get Digital' campaign, which is aimed at giving funding for IT resources and training in sheltered and retirement housing, is now advertising on ERoSH's website in a bid to attract members to pitch for funding.

NIACE, the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, is running the funding scheme in partnership with Digital Unite, which is delivering the training. The first round of funding finished in July and the first tranche of money has been allocated to 104 sheltered schemes across England. The second round of funding which will provide funding for a further 91 schemes will close on September 3.

Grants between £4,000 and £5,000 are available to equip schemes for digital learning, and to buy additional learning support or services.
